2014- make it count

2 Jan

Happy new year!

I wanted  to make this post yesterday but was feeling kind of uninspired and unsure.
I’m not one to make new years resolutions they never happen and only make me disappointed in myself but this year I am making life resolutions.
2013 was a difficult year in my life, a wasted year, a mostly un-memorable year.
Don’t get me wrong there were some wonderful beautiful things that happened but when I try to think about what I accomplished and what I experienced last year… I come up empty-handed.  I want this year to be different. I want to look back next year and feel proud to have lived another year. I want to feel accomplished even if its small things. You have to start somewhere, right? My major motivation to make this year count is that I am turning 30 this month and I can’t believe it. THIRTY! I knoooow it’s not a big deal, but at the same time it is!
I am honestly freaking out about turning 30.  Not because its “old” but because I feel like my 20th birthday was just last year. Time goes too fast and I can only check off a few things from my life’s to do list.

I’ve started a 43 things list to keep track of the things I would like to at least start this year.

Writing this post is step one.

I KNOW I wont be a daily blogger, but one blog a week maybe?

I feel that my resolutions fall into these categories

I need to unfck my habitat. This website will prove to be a help. I found it a long time ago but have yet to use its wisdom.

do things to become more satisfied with who I am inside and out.

create more. paint, craft, diy-whatever!

Volunteer, random acts of kindness.. just make someone smile.

So here’s wishing myself bonne chance!
